Applying from within Canada (to become a student)
The categories of foreign nationals who may apply for a study permit (including to change or vary their existing conditions) after entering Canada are the following:
- have completed a short course or program (less than 6 months) of study that is a prerequisite to their enrolment at a DLI – Designated learning institutions

Beginners to IELTS 5.5 - 400 hours ($12/hour)
Most of the English programs (DEP, AEC or DEC) from DLI schools require the students to at least have the IELTS 5.5 level of French.
Intermediate level to IELTS 5.5 - 240 hours ($12/hour)
Most of the English programs (DEP, AEC or DEC) from DLI schools require the students to at least have the IELTS 5.5 level of French.
